This historic castle is one of the oldest in Japan that still retains the original structure at 500+ yrs old. It is no less than 6 stores tall and inside you will climb up stupidly steep wooden staircases. You wil get to see the original open window holes where ancient firearms were fired through at enemies and boiling water thrown down at them. The gardens are beautifully landscaped and come complete with an inner and outer moat. You will also come across wonderfully costumed princesses, ninja and full armour samurai warriors in the gardens offering free selfie opportunites. Outside the castle, the streets surrounding it are filled with quaint shops and restaurants, perfect for casual exploration
