Tsugaike is a very large resort and is especially good for beginners and intermediates. The beginners area at the base of the resort is so big it is actually bigger in size than the whole of many other ski resorts in Japan. Up top, there are steeper runs suiting intermediates, but it lacks the mogul runs and steep runs of some of the other resorts. It is usually less crowded than the other major ski resorts being a little further away from the action. Tsugaike also has a great snow park with some big hits to be had and lots of rails to play with. No half pipe though.
Tsuga Pow Double Black Diamond Tree run
Tsugaike now have a great tree run area off the top of the mountain. It requires you to register and listen to a short lecture. You can then enter the area via one of the 4 gates. See this page for more info.
